How to manually update to DOCman 1.5.2

Answer

If for some reason the upgrade package doesn't work for you, you can manually upgrade DOCman 1.5.x to 1.5.2:

  1. Unzip the upgrade package locally
  2. Find the folder called /up/_/
  3. inside you should see a bunch of folders: administrator, components, ...
  4. Upload these to your joomla root, overwriting the existing files.

Obviously, it's advised to make a backup of your site before doing so.

NOTE: the same will most likely work for later version than 1.5.2.
