Joomla component that automatically adds files from a directory to DOCman.

Always download from the official site, so you know the files haven't been  tampered with.

Installation

Install like any regular Joomla component.

Upgrading from 1.5.x

Simply install the new version on the top of the old one, using Joomla's extension installer.

Upgrading from older versions

Uninstall the component and install the new version.

Usage

  1. Make sure DOCman 1.5 is installed and working.
  2. Make sure you have at least one DOCman category.
  3. Go to Components -> DOCman Populate -> Configuration, change settings and save.
  4. FTP your files to your http://{yoursite}/dmdocuments/ folder (folder name can be changed in DOCman)
  5. Go to Components -> DOCman Populate
  6. Select the files you want to import and a category
  7. Click Import

Cron Jobs

  • Adjust the config settings in Components > DOCman Populate > Configure
  • Copy the generated command and use it for your crontab
