Answer

Sites that are being run in a net-free-zone such as intranets, extranets, localnets etc etc will probably have a horrible speed output due to the fact there is an rss fetching module published with DOCman. Also if your host does not allow the usage of fsock then you may also get an error when you login the the ACP about the usage of fsock, to fix this or speed up your site:

  • Extensions
  • Module Manager
  • Administrator
  • Locate "News" its in the position "dmcpanel"
  • Disable it
